RVC Housing & Schools

Privacy, independence & funding

This page explains what the civic project collects, what it does not collect, and how it stays separate from Blue Camel Consulting.

Who runs this project

RVC Housing & Schools is an independent civic project run by Jeff Pinto, a Rockville Centre resident. It is not a Blue Camel Consulting client engagement. The sites link to each other for transparency because Jeff runs both, but the project has its own public facts ledger and correction record.

The address action tool

When you use the action tool, your street address is sent from your browser to the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder to identify your districts. An optional name is used only in the letter generated in your browser.

The site does count how the action tool is used, so the project can report how many residents reach an office. A count records the step (a district lookup, a letter copied, a contact form or email opened, a self-reported send) and which official card it came from. It does not record your address, your name, the letter, or anything else you type. Most of these totals are not published. The coverage page shows the number of address lookups; the rest are held back until the action kit has produced enough for a figure to mean anything, and they are read privately in the meantime.

So that one person clicking twice does not read as two people, the counting endpoint temporarily keeps a one-way hash of a network identifier for about 25 hours. One count means one network identifier, one official, one step, one local day. That makes the numbers a floor rather than a headcount, because a household or building sharing a network connection is counted once. The hash is not linked to an email address, is not used for outreach, and expires on its own.

The separate email update list

The signup strip asks for an email address and a separate affirmative consent. It does not use the action tool’s address or name. The update-list record contains the email address, consent date, signup date, latest signup date, and the site page where the signup started. It does not contain a name or street address.

The email address is used only for RVC Housing & Schools updates. It is not added to a Blue Camel Consulting marketing list, sold, or shared for marketing.

To limit abuse, the signup and delete endpoints temporarily keep a one-way hash of a network identifier for up to ten minutes. It is not used for campaign outreach or analytics.

Independence, funding & relationships

RVC Housing & Schools and Blue Camel Consulting are separate projects. A person who wants consulting services must contact Blue Camel separately. Project supporters are not used for consulting outreach.

Any material funding source, client relationship, or partnership that could affect this project’s advocacy will be identified on this page before related advocacy is published.

Delete an update-list signup

Enter the same email address used to sign up. The request deletes the matching update-list record and is intentionally silent about whether an address was on the list.

If the form is unavailable, use the site’s contact link with the email address to remove.
